If the presence of undead/infected/zombies destroys everything for you even when the rest is good then obviously the answer is no, you won't get much enjoyment out of it with that in mind.On the other hand, it's one of the best stories in the video game medium, it's intense (and not just because of zombies), the gameplay's great and the characters and acting are all top notch. Everything about the game is quality, but with what you said about zombies destroying anything good for you, well, you're at quite an impasse there. I absolutely hate zombies, try to avoid them at every turn. Last of us came with my ps4 I finally decided to play it a few months ago. After a while the story got to me though and I love games with great stories so as much as I hate zombies and most of all those got damn bitch ass clickers I think the game is one people should play.There are a lot of zombies at parts but it seems like at least 50% of the game is killing people and the other half either sneaking past or killing zombies. If you can deal with that I think you would really enjoy the game. I can't really say, I've never played or seen The walking dead.There are times when you encounter hordes but the most I've seen is maybe 20-30 but it's not very often and you don't have to fight them.

There will be part where there are clickers and bloaters and you'll hate them but once you get past them it's smooth sailing for a while, then back to killing people or finding your way through the game.You're welcome, I really think you'll end up loving the game when you get used to it, it's unlike any other zombie game just don't waste all your bullets and supplies and take your time when you do have to fight. In terms of play. It is a third person shooter. The Walking Dead is more or less an interactive movie with small playable parts and Quick Time Events. The Last of Us is much better in every single aspect, especially when it comes to gameplay.

You could say they are comparable in terms of story at some very basic levels. But other than that they are completely different experiences. You should definitely play it despite your opinions on zombies, i agree they have been really overused lately. Definitely not a focus, most of the time you can stealth past them, there are one or two forced interactions but its only to move the story along.If your aversion to zombies is actual fear rather than tedium then I would advise changing the gore settings in the menus. Should reduce the impact of when you fail to sneak past them.But tbh they do a really good job of leading the character through the situations so you never feel like you're doing something just for the sake of it there is always a purpose driving you and the character.
