You also want to agree to the deal because you need that special reward he'll give you when you bring him all seven of these curiosities.
(This is the 'Gather the Seven Trinkets for Gol' objective.)There is a Save Stone near Gol's shop. Also look for breakable objects. The chests here take the form of metallic orbs placed on top of poles. The city's most prominent feature is the coliseum, but you won't be able to enter it yet. There is also a fiery barrier that you can't pass through at the moment because you don't have 'pure hate.' For now, get to the dungeon entrances. The enemy dark elves in the streets are the usual fighters and magic users, none of whom you can't handle at this point.Dungeons of Khathuun The City of Khathuun and the Dungeons of Khathuun are kinda intertwined with one another.
You may have suspected this if you've checked the map while you were back up on the streets. The curiosities that Gol wants are small, tiny artifacts lying on flat, dry ground within both the dungeons and the city streets, although almost all of them are inside the dungeons. You will have to search the dungeons and the streets thoroughly to find every single one. Remember, the curiosities are always on flat, dry ground.The monsters inside the dungeons can spit poison and pack some serious melee attacks. The chests there take the form of spiky shells, and you can break the unlit bluish orbs for extra items.When you emerge from some dungeons, you will appear on the upper levels of the city, where you can lower any of the dark gray staircases you come across. This way, you can use the stairs to return to the upper levels in case you've missed anything. You will need to explore all the dungeons as well as the city streets to obtain every curiosity.Talk to Gol to return a curiosity.
When you return all seven of them, he will hand you a Shard of Hate. However, you need two, not one, of these shards to get past the fiery barrier. Why not head over to the coliseum while figuring out where to acquire a second one?Arena As you approach the coliseum, its main doors fling wide open, and a bunch of angry dark elves come rushing out to greet you. Kick their asses, and then enter the coliseum. Inside, you must survive a series of three battles. You're allowed to use magic, so don't be afraid to cast offensive as well as defensive spells to give yourself the upper hand.Battle One: Kill some dark elves. These sword-wielding fighters are pretty crappy and shouldn't be a real problem, unless if they surround you.
Battle Two: Kill some super orcs. These dudes carry big, dull swords that can deal plenty of hurt, and there are several of them. If you can outmaneuver them, weaken them with ranged attacks. Otherwise, you'll have to fight up close and risk getting trapped. Battle Three: Kill the Arena Beast.
Boss: Arena Beast. This serpentine monster has extendible necks that allow it to bite at you even if you're standing several paces away from it, so you'll want to keep a huge distance between it and yourself. Otherwise, the Beast has no ranged attacks.
If you can trick it into getting stuck between some of the pillars at the sides of the arena, you can easily blast it with a barrage of ranged attacks. When it's weak enough, you can charge in and finish up with melee attacks if you like.When you slay the beast, you should pick up the Shard of Hate found on its dead body. Now that you have two Shards of Hate, you can use them to remove the fiery barrier back at the city streets.Hanging Garden If you're expecting to see a Babylonian splendor here, you're gonna be sorely disappointed. This derelict little park is infested with undead crawlers, skeletons, and even a few scythe-swinging specters. To find the specters, you may need to explore the side rooms, which can be accessed via the narrow paths between the walls and the iron fences. The chests here take the form of moldy orbs on top of stalks, which can blend in with the migraine-inducing terrain.
If you fall into a spiky pit, just run to the corners to find a slope that leads back up.The exit is a large circular pit in the middle of a large courtyard. Do not enter this hole until you are ready to leave. You cannot return to Khathuun once you do, so you should pick up any desired items you have left behind now.
